About CrimeExplained
Understanding crime through science and psychology
CrimeExplained is an independent publication dedicated to evidence-based criminology and forensic psychology. Our goal is to move beyond sensationalism and explore what research actually tells us about crime, criminal behavior, and the systems we use to respond to it.
Our Mission
To make criminological research accessible to everyone — not just academics. Crime affects all of us, and understanding it should not be a privilege limited to those with advanced degrees.
Our Approach
Every article is grounded in peer-reviewed research and written by people who respect the complexity of the subject. We present multiple perspectives, challenge assumptions, and acknowledge what science still doesn't know.
